Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo biloba has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years; mainly to enhance memory and alertness.
It is a large tree (also known as the maidenhair tree) that has fan-shaped leaves, which a part is made into an edible herb. Ginkgo is one the oldest tree species in the world and can live for over 1,000 years.
Containing flavonglycosides and titerpenoids, these active compounds have strong antioxidant properties that help neutralise free radicals. It also helps improve blood circulation and blood flow to the brain, therefore supporting good brain functions such as memory retention.
